This expression is a collaboration between Metallica and Master Distiller & Blender Rob Dietrich. The whiskey finishes in brandy casks and is sonically enhanced using the BLACK NOISE® process. In this method, low-frequency sound waves from Metallica’s “72 Seasons” album are played to the barrels, causing vibrations that enhance the interaction between the whiskey and the wood, imparting unique flavors.
