Description
James Suckling 90 Points
The wine La Fleur Blanchon is a Red wine produced in the Bordeaux region in France, by Château Bonnin. This 2016 vintage comes from the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation.
Its ideal tasting temperature is 16°. Round and smooth, aged in French oak barrels to impart a subtle clove and vanilla spiciness.
Patricia and Phillipe Bonnin bought this 9-hectare estate in 1997 and have been making artisanal wine there ever since. La Fleur Blanchon is 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon hand harvested from 20-year old vines. The wine undergoes a lengthy fermentation in temperature-controlled vats and is aged in concrete. Outstanding quality-price ratio Bordeaux!
