A blend of 14 Highland and Islay single malts the black axe is a spicy and peaty scotch whiskey. The Black Axe is made with a larger portion of Islay malt whisky compared to American Oak. What separates the Black Axe from American Oak is the higher percentage of Islay whisky which is smokier and spicier in its nature.
