Description
Big scale wine, ripe yellow fruit, lemon, pineapple and steely mineral. Quite ripe but with piercing acidity and good mineral presence. For my palate, Alsatian Pinot Blanc but 1% more alcohol as the sugar is converted into alcohol.
Aromas of ripe apples, pears, melon and vanilla come together on the textured and concentrated finish.Pinot Bianco from superior sites in Appiano Monte was fermented in barriques (50%) and large oak casks (50%) for 11 months and another six months in stainless steel tanks.
