Description

This is the most iconic vineyard of Domaine Bertagna since it is a walled-in vineyard located right across the Château de la tour of Grand Cru Vougeot and owned exclusively by the Domaine, thus is a “Monopole”. While elegant and subtle it also expresses beautiful complexity. Aging potential between 5-40 years Often truffle or tobacco notes and always very spicy. While young, this wine has floral aromas, but with age, has hints of toasted almonds and coffee to complement its red/black fruits. This Clos (walled-in vineyard) is owned entirely by Domaine Bertagna and thus is called a “Monopole”. An archway stating so serves as the entrance of the vineyard, right across from the famous Châteaiu de La Tour of Vougeot.
