Recanati’s Galilee Series presents classic varietals from select vineyards and growing areas, extracting the characteristic complexity and refinement of each individual variety. The Galilee Merlot is made from select hand-picked merlot grapes from the Ella Valley, which undergo a cold maceration prior to fermentation to preserve their rich fruit character. Robust, fruit-filled fragrance with hints of vanilla, against a subtle background of cloves. This certified Kosher wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 8 months and is best served with richly flavored meat dishes and hard cheeses. Medium-bodied, reminiscent of ripe red berry fruit, strawberries, and pomegranates. Located near the Mediterranean coast, the Galilee region remains the largest grape growing area in Israel due to its climate of warm summers and humid winters, best suited for high quality wines.
