Boondocks – Straight Rye Whiskey Bottled in Bond

Since 1897, by way of the Bottled in Bond Act, whiskies labeled “Bottled in Bond” have adhered to a specific set of rules and regulations put in place to protect the integrity of a distiller’s product and guarantee its quality. To be labeled Bottled in Bond,” distillers must adhere to the following regulations: the whiskey must be produced at a single distillery by one distiller in a single distilling season; it must be aged for a minimum of four years in oak barrels in a Federally Bonded warehouse; no additives, colors or flavors can be added; and it must be bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
