Description
Gancia Brut Rosé is a well-regarded Rosé from the historic House of Gancia, the family responsible for bringing sparkling wine to Italy. Ideal as an aperitif and to accompany fish and white meat dishes, desserts, and fresh fruit. 91 points, Tasting Panel, 2018
Gancia Brut Rosé is light pink with coppery reflections with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is intense and persistent, with notes of rose, cherries and red fruits. The taste is fresh, dry and harmonious with floral and plum notes. Tasting Panel: A dry-style wine with grapes hailing from Piedmont and Lombardy. Strawberry and ripe melon notes on the nose incur a slight salinity, which is pleasing and tones down any sweetness. The mineralogy also works into cherry notes on the palate, while rose petals surge through mid-way.
