Description: Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt whisky crafted by combining the distinct characteristics of all five Campbeltown malt brands: Springbank, Longrow, Hazelburn, Kilkerran, and Glen Scotia. It boasts a sweet and fruity aroma, with notes of honey and butterscotch, and a complexity of maritime and spice notes, with a subtle hint of peat smoke. The aging process in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks at the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, imparts a unique combination of aromas and flavors. On the nose, one can detect hints of oil, brine, smoke, liquorice, vanilla, malt, dark chocolate, orange peel, lemon juice, honeyed muesli, peanuts, almonds, pepper and a subtle hint of dusty oak, old books and dunnage warehouses. The palate is greeted with flavors of honeyed malt, vanilla, sea salt, black pepper, raisins, sultanas, caramel, toffee, oak spice, currants, aniseed and a distant oily smoke.
