Description
A solid bolt of graphite drives the core of dark plum and blackberry fruit along, while hints of iron and ganache fill in on the finish. Very solid, with good energy in reserve.
The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, quite lively in the mouth with fine tension. It merges into more black, dusky fruit towards the finish, the persistence on the mouth commendable. This discrete Saint Julien is very well crafted and should give much pleasure over the next decade.
