Description
Medium intensity of ruby-red color with purple hues at the rim. Aromas are of ripe, high-toned black & red plum fruit with prune notes. The palate displays open, juicy black-cherry fruit with underlying plum & prune hints.
Use of new oak has given notes of vanilla, cedar, cocoa, chocolate & coconut that combine well with the fruit. Fine tannins add a little grip at the end. There is fair acidity & the balanced alcohol adds warmth to the finish, which lasts well.
