Description

This Añejo Tequila from Corazón, part of the Sazerac Company, is crafted at Casa San Matías Distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, using 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. It is a limited-edition release from the prestigious “Expresiones del Corazón” collection and is aged in barrels that previously held William Larue Weller Bourbon, thanks to a special collaboration with Buffalo Trace Distillery, makers of Weller Bourbon.

Typically aged around 15 months, though some expressions are aged longer, this tequila comes in a 750mL bottle and is bottled at 40% alcohol (80 proof). Its aromas combine wood, caramel, almond, vanilla, light spice, and hints of dark fruit or cherry, while the taste is complex, smooth, and full-bodied, with notes of chocolate, vanilla, nuts, eucalyptus, chamomile, or toffee and spice depending on the batch.

It finishes long and velvety, with oak, caramel, and a touch of bourbon warmth. Each vintage is highly limited and sought after, sometimes with only 1,675 bottles, making it perfect for tequila lovers and collectors who appreciate a blend of classic agave flavor and rich bourbon character.
