Description: De Borgen produces and bottles its spirits at Hooghoudt, a small, family-owned distillery in the north of the Netherlands. Established in 1888, Hooghoudt has a long-standing tradition of capturing flavors from herbs, spices, and fruit to create high-quality drinks that preserve typical Dutch flavors. They use both traditional and innovative techniques to distill small batches of the finest spirits.
The uniqueness of our Genever comes from the way we experiment with malt spirit to create a deep, layered, and grainy taste with juniper and other botanicals. We finish by aging the spirit in Oloroso sherry casks, which helps to build its profound character. The combination of these three elements gives our Genever a distinct and memorable flavor.
