Description
On the nose, there are generous aromas of fresh red fruits and spices with herbaceous undertones. Concentrated flavors and ripe, well-integrated tannins coat the palate. This single vineyard Carmenere has a long, elegant finish following 14 months of aging in large oak barrels known as foudres.
It has ripe aromas and flavors, without excess and with a touch of thyme, which gives it a clear Mediterranean twist. Full-bodied, with dark fruit, evident tannins, beautifully integrated wood, plus a slight (positive) green character. A lovely alternative to Cabernet.
