Description
The red Santenay Clos de Malte is an elegant wine, with color, depth and quite potent tannins. It gives off delicate and complex aromas of red well-ripened fruits, of almonds and subtle “earthy” notes.
This wine with its earthy notes goes extremely well with casseroled pigeon.
Slightly more prominent wood and a touch of menthol can be found on the ripe liqueur-like aromas of red cherry and raspberry. The clean, bright and well-detailed middle weight flavors possess good intensity and a subtle minerality on the balanced, mouth coating and only slightly rustic finale.
