Description: El Dorado 25 Year Old is a sophisticated aged blended Demerara rum crafted by Demerara Distillers Limited at the Diamond Distillery, the sole remaining distillery in Guyana. This rum is produced following the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication, utilizing a blend of rums distilled from molasses using heritage stills: the French Savalle (AN), Enmore wooden Coffey (EHP), and Port Mourant wooden vat (PM). Aged for a minimum of 25 years in ex-bourbon casks, it boasts a rich flavor profile with aromas of butterscotch, amaretto, crème brûlée, and jackfruit, evolving into flavors of vanilla, passion fruit, acai berry, and maple syrup, complemented by nutmeg, milk chocolate, and guava on the finish. With an ABV of 43%, El Dorado 25 Year Old is fruity, zesty, and exhibits a perfect balance of vanilla and caramelized sugars, showcasing the legacy and craftsmanship of DDL’s heritage stills. The vintage year is stamped in red wax on the box.
