Description
This bright, fragrant red opens with aromas of perfumed blue flower, forest floor, aromatic herb and wild berry. On the tense linear palate, taut refined tannins and vibrant acidity lend focus and lithe support to sour cherry, crushed strawberry and clove.
Pair it with herb- or spice-roasted lean meats and poultry, medium-aged cheeses, or black olive tapenade slathered on a crusty loaf.
The 2014 vintage is a medium-bodied, elegant red aged in small oak barrel and large oaks casks. Floral on the nose with soft red berries and rose petals on the nose, on the palate, it is dry with dusty roses, fresh red berry fruit and chocolate notes on the palate. Very elegant. Tannins are firm and grippy. There is good acidity for food. Decant two hours prior to serving with a game dish.
