Description
Barbaresco has bouquets of roses or violets with flavor notes of cherry, truffles, fennel and licorice. As the wine ages, it can develop smoky notes and more earthy and animal flavors like leather and tar.
The wet-earth and cedar character is quite endearing as it sits well with the overtones of blueberries, fresh herbs and spices. Medium to full body, bright acidity and a chewy finish. Shows good length and complexity.
