Description: HIRSCH’s The Single Barrel Private Selection by Del Mesa Liquor & Chip’s Liquor is aged in New American Oak barrels. The expression consists of two mash bills: 70% is 74% Corn, 18% Rye, 8% Malted Barley and 30% is 72% Corn, 13% Rye, 15% Malted Barley. These two whiskeys were blended and then put back into the same barrel to mellow for a year.
The Single Barrel is high proof, but approachable at 54.7 ABV / 109.4 Proof
The nose is nutty and spicy with notes of root beer and hints of tobacco. On the palate, you’ll taste cashew butter, sarsaparilla, and soft hints of stone fruit.
