In the Hebrew year 2900, King David conquered Jerusalem from the Jebusites, claiming it as the capital of the United Kingdom of Israel. Ever since and throughout the reign of the kings of Israel and Judea alike, the Wine industry in Israel prospered and became central to Israel’s economy.
Jerusalem Wineries was established in 1976, with vineyards in the Shomron and on the coastal plain. Sam Soroka is now the winemaker and is among the elite of his field in Israel. He has brought the quality of the wine to a very high level, with many of them underpriced for their value.
This wine is a Deep red color with aromas of forest fruit, and tobacco, This merlot shows ample fruit and elegant tannins.
