Description
Domain:
The most recent of AOC Burgundy (1987), promoted to the rank of communal appellation, belongs to the prestigious vineyard of the Côte de Nuits whose doors are located in the immediate south of Dijon. The village Marsannay is unique in its kind by its extensive touching red, rosé and white wines. The is kept for about 15 months in oak barrels after vinification in 3 week vats.
Tasting notes:
The Marsannay of the Maison Louis Jadot has a powerful color. Its bouquet is marked by cassis and blackberry. Tannic but supple flavors. In the case of aging, we recommend dishes marinated as an accompaniment.
The 2015 Marsannay is a gorgeous, textured wine. White peach, almond, dried flowers and mint all flesh out in a generous, textured Burgundy full of near-term appeal. This is an especially generous, resonant Marsannay. According to winemaker Frederic Barnier a clonal mutation of Chardonnay in this parcel yields wines of unusual textural depth and structure.
