In 2004, Gnarly Head began with a vision and vine. On a mission to create a serious Zinfandel, our winemakers journeyed to the famed vineyards in Lodi, California. These gnarled vines produce BOLD, POWERFUL and CONCENTRATED fruit flavors. Today, we bring that signature Gnarly style of big, authentic flavors to our full portfolio of wines, winner of over 100 Gold Medals.
Voluptuous aromas of red cherry, vanilla, earth and spice, followed by a rush of flavors that include black cherry and plum with hints of toasted hazelnut, tobacco and cigar box on the palate. Supple, sleek tannins lead to a lush finish. Pairs well with salami and arugula pizza, slow roasted pork loin, or dry brined chicken stuffed with sausage and peppers.
