Description
Named for “Golden Promise” barley, an older variety grown in the UK, this Bourbon is made with 82% corn, 9% malted barley from Scotland and 9% standard malted barley. In the glass, oak dominates the palate, though adding water rounds off the edges allow coconut and honey to emerge, finishing with intriguing dark clove and unsweetened chocolate. Aged 13 months.
Medium golden amber color. Aromas and flavors of buttery cashew brittle, peach custard pie, polished wood, and oatmeal with a slightly chewy, vibrant, fruity medium-full body and a warming, intricate, very long suede, peach jam of cinnamon rye toast, caramelized fruits and nuts, and mossy oak and mint leaf finish. A sensational flavorful, distinctive, and complex bourbon for the connoisseur.
