The Grapes of Roth is Winemaker Roman Roth’s private label, and a true testament to his classic, yet adventerous, wine-making style. Well-balanced by round ripe tannins with great layers and good structure. The finish is long with nice toasted oak, almonds and minerality.
Intense aromas of dark fruits, hints of sweet spice, and silky dark chocolate. Richly concentrated black plum, violet, chocolate cream and cardamom fill the palate on this dense and dark Merlot.
It is powerful in its elegance with firm, well integrated tannins and a lively acidity showing excellent minerality while holding up the concentrated aromas of cassis, sandalwood and leather strap (fresh leather), amplifying the perception of earth tones and floral notes(violets). This wine is elegant, powerful, alive and extremely balanced
