Description
This estate-grown Cabernet evolves in the glass from aromatics of wild strawberry and rhubarb to complementary notes of red licorice and cocoa dust. The plush entry of ripe black cherry and blackberry pie on the palate is followed by richer tones of toffee, fresh oak, and a hint of black pepper. Elegant and supple, this wine showcases a lengthy and pleasing granite-like finish reflecting the diverse flavors found on Round Pond’s Rutherford estate vineyards.
Blackberry compote, ivy and plum liqueur as well as some crème de cassis are prominent on the nose. Full-bodied with round tannins, lots of ripe fruit and a fruit-forward finish. Drink in 2021.
