Description: Uruapan Charanda Caña Cristalina Blanco Single Agricola Rum is a distinguished Mexican rum that exemplifies the rich heritage of Michoacán’s sugarcane distillation. Crafted by the Pacheco family at the Sol Tarasco distillery in Uruapan, this rum is produced from 100% fresh-pressed juice of the Caña Cristalina varietal, a sugarcane cultivated at elevations exceeding 4,000 feet above sea level. The sugarcane is milled using a traditional water-powered mill, and the juice undergoes open-air fermentation for a minimum of 10 days, harnessing wild ambient yeasts. Distillation occurs twice in a 1,000-liter, wood-fired copper pot still, resulting in a spirit that is bottled without any additives. At 49% ABV, this rum offers a bold and complex profile, featuring earthy aromas, hints of brine, coriander, and subtle sweetness reminiscent of taffy. The palate is rich and layered, making it an exceptional choice for sipping neat or exploring in craft cocktails.
