At elevations ranging from 1,400 to 3,000 feet and located at the base of Mount Konocti, once an active volcano, the Red Hills AVA features rolling hills, red volcanic soils, and a lake effect breeze from Clear Lake, one of North America’s oldest natural lakes.
Lush flavors of melon and citrus combined with lightly toasted oak complete this Chardonnay.Lots of butter and baking spices waft from the glass before lush pear, apple and butterscotch flavors coat the palate. This full-bodied wine is very nicely crafted in a big smooth style that emphasizes viscosity and ripeness.
